Women’s Psychoeducational Workshop
The Details
A practical, honest online workshop for women in their late 20s and early 30s who are tired of overthinking, second-guessing, and feeling like their minds are always “on.” We’ll explore why anxiety can become a cycle of worry, reassurance-seeking, perfectionism, and trying to control the uncertain, and learn evidence-based to respond differently. The focus is not on eliminating anxiety, but on understanding it, making space for uncomfortable feelings, and learning how to keep moving toward the life you actually want.

Beyond Discomfort Workshop
Ellen Lester & Offline Wellness Club
A psychoeducational and experiential workshop hosted at Offline Wellness Club in Calgary, created to help participants better understand their nervous system and their relationship with discomfort.
Together, we explored what happens when we experience stress, uncertainty, or emotional discomfort, and how to recognize when we need to regulate, when we can safely stay with discomfort, and when something may be asking us to make a change.
Participants had the opportunity to use Offline Wellness Club’s sauna and cold plunge facilities as an experiential component of the workshop, allowing them to notice their thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and urges in real time while practicing awareness, regulation, and intentional responding.
We explored:
• Nervous system awareness and the window of tolerance
• Recognizing when to lean into discomfort and when to pause or regulate
• Emotional awareness and intentional responding
• Avoidance, discomfort, and psychological flexibility
• Building capacity for uncertainty and challenging emotions
• Practical strategies for bringing these skills into everyday life
The workshop included psychoeducation, guided reflection, optional exercises, and an opportunity to apply the concepts through a supported sauna and cold plunge experience.
